Little more than six weeks ago our students embarked on a journey to become funny. This past Monday was their graduation show and for some, their first time in front of an audience.

That’s number two for you non-Spanish speakers.

On June 16th, The Comedy Zone’s new Charlotte Twitter page (@ComedyZoneCLT) tweeted that big news is coming. Recently, they started following @ncmusicfactory.

Is this more evidence that The New Comedy Zone is going to be at the NC Music Factory? Is it just a red herring used to throw us off? Stay tuned for more info and be sure to follow @QueenCityComedy for the latest updates.

For a while there have been rumors that Charlotte is getting a new comedy club.  People in the know have been pretty tight-lipped.  Today however, I was looking on the NC Music Factory website and there’s a space called “Comedy Club.”

Could this be a new Comedy Zone?  Tell us your thoughts.  Leave a comment below.

Johnny Millwater and yours truly, Craig Carter, perform in a burlesque show. With an intro like that, how could you not want to watch?

Special thanks to Johnny Millwater and Big Momma’s House of Burlesque.

It’s week five of the Comedy Zone Stand-up Class. The graduation show is only a few weeks away!

Our resident comedian and professor, Johnny Millwater, discusses how comics often get sick of their jokes and what it takes to work past that frustration and fall in love with your  jokes again.

Thanks to Johnny Millwater and the Lake Norman Comedy Zone.

Although we try to find the funny in life here at Queen City Comedy, sometimes it’s time to get serious and help others. So…time for a public service. My neighbors found a stray kitten. She needs a home. If you’re interested in adopting her, send an e-mail to blog@queencitycomedy.com.
