Several member of the cast of Who’s Line is it Anyway? are coming to the Queen City in a live show called Who’s Live Anyway?

Fans of the hit TV show will remember regulars Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten, and Jeff Davis.

I always loved the show and I was sad to see it go. There’s plenty of stand-up on TV but not much improv which is a shame considering how great it can be.

The show will be at the beautiful Knight Theater in uptown Charlotte on September, 25th. You can buy tickets now from the Blumenthal website.

Ok, I know this blog is about Charlotte comedy but it’s time for a shameless plug! My Jersey Shore parody t-shirt, the Gui J Hero shirt, got featured on the Late Night with Jimmy Fallon blog! Click on the picture to read the entire blog post.

Special thanks to Cory Cavin, a native Charlottean, Carolina grad, and blogger for Jimmy Fallon. Check out his blog Uncle Mustache.

You have no idea how long I’ve waited to use that headline. Native Charlottean and Olympic Gold Medalist Ricky Berens returned to the Queen City to compete in Charlotte’s UtraSwim.

Despite his gold medal, Ricky is most well known for having his high-tech, ultra-tight swimsuit split down the back as he swam bare-assed and still helped the US win the race. If that’s not dedication, I don’t know what is. Kudos, Ricky…kudos.

Thanks to the Charlotte Observer for the pics.

I have to take a moment to talk about Betty White on Saturday Night Live last night. That was easily one of the funniest episodes the show has ever had in its history.

Her presence and comedic timing were absolutely perfect. Every single skit was a gut-buster. I can’t remember the last time I laughed so hard. If you haven’t done so already, visit Hulu and watch all of the skits.

It’s great to see a comedy legend get a resurgence in her career. Such a professional and class act, she deserves every bit of praise she gets.

What was even more impressive was how social media (namely Facebook) inspired this whole thing. Props to David Matthews (not the guy in the band) for starting this movement.
